Helpful things to include
None of this is required — but it saves a round trip:
- What device you're on (iPhone, iPad, Android, computer) and roughly which version
- Where it happened — which level, which book, which page
- What you expected, and what happened instead
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see
Things we get asked a lot
No sound when we tap a letter
Check the silent switch on the side of the iPhone and turn the volume up — iOS mutes web audio when the ringer switch is off. If the very first tap is silent but the rest work, that's iOS waiting for a real touch before it will play anything; tap once more and it settles.
It looks like the old version
Fade Readers keeps a copy on your device so it works without wifi, which means an update sometimes waits a turn. Close it completely and open it again. If you added it to your home screen, remove it and add it back.
Adding it to the home screen
On iPhone, open it in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with the arrow), then Add to Home Screen. On Android, Chrome offers to install it. It runs full screen after that, and works offline.
Deleting it, and your data
There are no accounts and nothing is stored about your child, so there is no account to close and no data to request. Deleting the app from your home screen removes everything it kept on the device. The privacy page has the full picture.
Reporting something serious
If you find something that seems unsafe, inappropriate for a child, or broken in a way that matters, say so in the subject line and we'll treat it as urgent.
